Three ceremonies, one cultural union
The wedding began with a purification ceremony following the Indian tradition—a spiritual and intimate moment that set the tone for the festivities. The following day featured the main Indian ceremony, filled with colorful traditions and rituals. The wedding ritual took place under the “mandap,” a four-pillar canopy, with the groom arriving according to the “Baraat” tradition, in which he rides a horse. The long procession included singing and dancing, demonstrating the groom’s and his family’s happiness in welcoming the new bride. The bride, on the other hand, arrived accompanied by her father, and upon her arrival, a white cloth divided the couple, which was removed as the future spouses exchanged floral garlands, symbolizing their mutual consent to the marriage. At this point, the bride’s father placed his daughter’s hand in the groom’s, officially entrusting her to him. Finally, the last day featured a Protestant ceremony, honoring the bride’s American heritage. This combination of rituals made the wedding truly special, with every detail thoughtfully designed to honor both cultures.

Here, the Baraat, a joyful procession of friends and family of the groom, brought the space to life with dances and celebrations. The following day, dedicated transfers took guests to Palazzo Pisani Moretta: three entire floors were reserved for the concluding festivities of the three-day celebration. A welcome aperitif awaited guests on the second floor, while dinner was held on the first floor, where lights and sound created the perfect atmosphere. To end the evening in style, a dance floor in the foyer, designed in every detail and with skillful lighting effects, awaited guests, inviting them to dance and enjoy themselves in one of Venice’s most historic and fascinating palaces.
